USPS Forever Stamp
I have always loved being creative and I’ve found many outlets over my lifetime. From playing piano and violin when I was younger to asking my dad to buy me the entire Bob Ross paint set, there has always been a consistent creative path.
In 2014, I started working for a paper-goods company and that’s where I discovered my love of creating handmade cards. My co-workers and I exchanged cards over birthdays and holidays (still do!), shared tips and techniques and talked about the latest products. From there, the love grew.
Even though I work somewhere else now (and I love it!), card making actually became a creative outlet for me throughout the years. The meticulous nature of creating something by hand energized me and I enjoyed putting the time into something that a loved one can keep.
Card making created a community for me when I was least expecting it, and through DANCINGDRESSESPRESENTS, I want to continue to build that community. I love the imagery of someone coming home after a long day of work, to finding something special in their mailbox from someone who is thinking of them.
Words are extremely powerful. It can tear someone down or build someone up. My hope is to create an avenue where we can express our gratitude, encouragement and love - not only through my designs, but through the words you write inside the card. Here’s to your someone!
